Bayou Republic has been in the works for over 7 years.  As a fashion model and political participant, I have always wanted to create a clothing line that shows both heritage and various political perspectives in a positive light, mixed with urban attitudes of the South.  

New Orleans fashion is particularly colorful, with simple pieces with designs within the fabric, along with accent pieces that usually have a vintage but modern spin; Usually light and flowy. However, urban wear is usually dark pieces, contrasting with bright colors, made to handle extreme heat while keeping cool and useful for transitioning into New Orelans night life filled with dancing and fun. Most of the fashion you'll see cannot be seen anywhere else in the world, because it's unique to the culture, the history, and the inhabitants of Louisiana as a whole.
